Many people this year are planning to celebrate July 4th at home, in small gatherings of family. Traveling is expected to be record lows for this holiday, impacted by the limited access to parks and the cancelation of many city hosted celebrations. So, here are some ideas to stay at home, yet feel like it's still a celebration: * Line your driveways, or lawns with Flags ( ensuring of course that Old Glory doesn't touch the ground) * Decorate your front door with a festive wreath, swag or a flag ( order one from us!, we can do fresh, or silk) * plan a project or two for the kids to do during the days leading up to July 4th or even, as part of the day's events such as: painting a flag on a window or making festive leis from beads or ribbons, for guests ( call us, We can create kits for the kids!) * decorate your back yard patio with a festive patriotic garland for the patio door that lights up for the evening ( we can create it, with battery operated LED water resistant lights) * Add Small 3-4 inch mini floral arrangements on the dining table, picnic tables, side tables, create simple ambiance that can be enjoyed for days before and after 4th of July, and make excellent hostess gifts! ( we can create simple patriotic ensembles that are affordable) * Plan a prize hunt...( similar to the easter egg hunt) but use items such as approved sparklers, glow sticks, noise makers, heat resistant treats) these are always exciting especially for young kids and always make for fun times * make biodegradable confetti bombs, that can be used while playing back yard bad mitten to create some exploding fun * add water proof plastic glow in the dark stars to your pool... To keep it festive, make a contest to see if anyone can collect all 50 ( representing the US Flag) in a certain amount of time These are simple and affordable ideas that I hope help you feel like celebrating. Be safe everyone and celebrate responsibly. Check out our store for seasonal floral options AND home and party decor! We will be showcasing our new items at the end of the week.
